Off-the-bike hobbies: reading, indoor rock climbing, watching my fav. shows (south park, family guy, CSI, House)What got me into cycling: it started when i dated a mountain biker...but i crashed a lot...so i bought a road bike since i thought it was safer ;)
Top lifetime accomplishments: so far...winning the 2006 Collegiate National Women's Team Time Trial and Overall Team for UC Davis
Cycling accomplishments: Besides collegiate racing, i did the Death Ride 3 years in a row and my best race result to date was 4th at the Carrera de San Rafael twilight crit in the WP/1/2/3
Day job: Customer Service at REI
Where I grew up: Felton, CA (near Santa Cruz) and then Redding, CA
What got me into racing: i've always been competative...and i had purchased a road bike....so racing was inevitable
Music that gets me going before a race: some good techno dance beats - i throw my arms into it and start dancing during the easy spin part of warm up, and then the beat carries me through the warm up intervals
Number of years with the team: 4
Favorite ride: Wilderness wanderings - starts in placerville and goes up into the national forests - great for death ride training (http://centralcaliforniacycling.com/WW_97_Mile_Map_.html)
Most memorable race: 2004 Mclain Pacific - my first year racing and i got dropped like a rock in the W3/4's - it was the only USCF race i did that year
My cycling hero(s): Vino! He never gives up. He'll get dropped, then claw his way back and attack through the group. I love to watch him race.
Favorite post-race food: burrito
